About This Programme
This programme emphasises theoretical concepts and practical application, while providing opportunities for students to gain the skills and hands-on experience needed to design, install, operate, and maintain networks in small-to-medium businesses, as well as enterprise and service provider environments.
The CCNA programme includes complex and challenging hands-on labs to help students develop critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills, as well as practical knowledge.
The programme is composed of four modules:
- Network fundamentals
- Routing protocols and concepts
- LAN switching and wireless
- Accessing the WAN
After you Graduate
On successful completion graduates qualify with an industry-recognised qualification that will enhance progression within the sector. Graduates are also eligible to apply for the Cisco Certified Network Professional programme available at IT Sligo.
Entry Requirements
A level of computer competence is required to participate in this programme. Applicants may be asked to attend for interview and undertake an aptitude test to determine their suitability for the programme.

Fees: €550 per module, €2200 per year
