About the Diploma in Research Practice
This programme supports research students, supervisors and researchers in the core element of their work, which is the advancement of knowledge through original research. It broadens and deepens the intellectual training which the student will receive; it develops innovative structures for the provision of both generic skills and high-level interdisciplinary skills. The programme encourages, promotes and supports the recruitment of students to research, and staff to become research active. It encourages collaboration and formation of research networks across the sector.
About this Programme:
The programme is divided into 6 (10 credit) modules as follows.
1) Research Methods
2) Personal Skills for Researchers
3) Research Management
4) Creativity & Entrepreneurship
5) Data Handling & Analysis
6) Communications for Researchers
Modular Approach:
The option is available to take individual modules from the programme. This means learners can enrol (subject to availability) on any one or more of the modules
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be a current post-graduate student or a member of staff of a third level Higher Education Institute. If you do not fall under these categories please contact us as you may still be eligible to apply.
Duration: 12-15 weeks per module
Delivery: There will be two to three face-to-face workshops per module with continuous access to course tutors via email and Moodle. Distance learning is supported by all course materials (manuals) and completion of certain assignments via Moodle (quizzes/multiple choice questions).
Fee: €500 per Module
